Adventure 33 Unveils Prism Red: The World’s First Fully Virtualized Broadcast Audio Receiver
A breakthrough in IP program delivery brings hardware-grade reliability into the virtual world.
Toronto, Canada - Adventure 33, a Canadian broadcast solution provider and creator of the Prism IP audio delivery platform, today announces Prism Red, the world’s first fully virtualized broadcast audio receiver.
For the first time ever, broadcasters can receive live programming, closure triggers, and network feeds entirely in software, thus eliminating the need for dedicated hardware while preserving the reliability and performance expected of broadcast infrastructure.
A Turning Point for IP Delivery
Prism has already established itself as a true replacement for satellite distribution, delivering highly reliable audio over IP using multi-path, multi-vendor infrastructure.
With the introduction of Prism Red, that same proven solution is now available natively inside VM and cloud environments.
This marks a fundamental shift: Broadcast reception is no longer tied to physical devices.
Built for the Cloud Era
As radio automation and playout systems continue moving to the cloud, infrastructure has struggled to keep pace until now.
Prism Red closes that gap.
“The industry has already embraced virtual and cloud-based workflows. What’s been missing is a reliable way to receive show and live programming directly into that environment,” said Adrian Berkovits. “Prism Red solves that problem completely. Broadcasters can now ingest programming from anywhere in the world directly into their virtual and cloud systems with the same confidence they’ve always expected from hardware.”
By removing the need for physical receivers at each site, Prism Red enables:
Faster and more affordable deployment / scaling
New, previously impossible broadcast workflows
PlayoutONE Becomes First Integrator of Prism Red at NAB 2026
Adventure 33 will debut Prism Red live at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, announcing Aiir’s PlayoutONE as the first automation platform to achieve “Prism Red Certified” status.
This certification marks the first verified integration between Prism Red and a cloud-based/virtual playout system demonstrating seamless, real-time ingestion of live broadcast feeds directly into automation environments.
To showcase this milestone, Adventure 33 and Aiir will perform a continuous, live on-air demonstration from adjacent booths, exchanging audio feeds in real time using Prism Red. The demo highlights true end-to-end broadcast delivery.
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Aiir and see PlayoutONE become the first ‘Prism Red Certified’ platform,” said Adrian Berkovits, Founder, Adventure 33. “Bringing live broadcast feeds directly into modern automation systems with zero friction is exactly the kind of innovation Prism Red was built for. What we’re demonstrating together at NAB is the future of radio delivery, happening right now.”
“We’re excited to be the first to integrate with Prism Red and achieve certification,” said Dave Brierley-Jones, Chief Operating Officer of Aiir. “This collaboration with Adventure 33 opens new possibilities for our customers, enabling seamless, real-time delivery of live content directly into PlayoutONE environments. We look forward to showcasing what this integration can do at NAB 2026.”
